A Note from Your Principal

Dear Woodsboro Families,

It is with happiness and excitement that I write to you today, as I am honored to serve as your principal of Woodsboro Elementary School. I am grateful for the wonderful opportunity to become a part of the Woodsboro community. I look forward to partnering with all of our families and I am excited to get to know your children!

My dedication and heart for our schools runs deep, as I am a proud PYLUSD graduate and current PYLUSD parent. I have served in our school district for the past 17 years. My time includes serving as a childcare teacher at Sierra Vista, a teacher at Kraemer Middle School, a Teacher On Special Assignment supporting History Social Science and MTSS Interventions/Support, and most recently in the role as the proud Assistant Principal of Bernardo Yorba Middle School. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child can grow academically, and as an individual.

It is my goal to support open lines of communication and foster strong avenues for collaboration as we create the best possible educational experience for our children. It is a priority and great source of joy to build strong relationships with parents, guardians, community members, staff and students.

Each new school year always brings with it a sense of renewed energy and possibility, and I truly believe that this year will be no exception. I look forward to continuing our commitment to excellence, as we support  "Every Student, Every Day ."

With gratitude,

Ms. Rachael Collins
