A Note from Your Principal

Dear Woodsboro Families,

Welcome to Woodsboro Elementary School! It is truly an honor to serve as principal of this incredible school community. I continue to be inspired by the kindness, dedication, and sense of belonging that make our school such a special place for students, families, and staff.

As a proud graduate of Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, current PYLUSD parent, and educator with more than 18 years of service in our district, I am deeply committed to providing every student with an exceptional educational experience. Throughout my career, I have served as a childcare teacher, middle school teacher, Teacher on Special Assignment supporting curriculum and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), assistant principal, and now principal. These experiences have reinforced my belief that every child deserves to be known, challenged, supported, and celebrated.

At Woodsboro, we are committed to fostering a learning environment where students are inspired to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe that strong relationships are the foundation of student success, and we value the partnerships we share with our families, dedicated staff, and community members. By working together, we create meaningful learning experiences that prepare our students to become confident learners, compassionate leaders, and responsible citizens.

I believe that open communication, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence allow our school community to thrive. My door is always open, and I look forward to partnering with you as we support every child in reaching their fullest potential. Thank you for being an important part of the Woodsboro family. It is a privilege to serve this remarkable community, and I look forward to the many successes we will continue to achieve together.

With gratitude,

Ms. Rachael Collins
